Issue 52, June 1993, of GCN (Gay Community News), Ireland’s free LGBTQ+ press, included the brand new Connaught GCN supplement. The supplement ran for approximately one year, covering LGBTQ+ stories from across the province.
Pages three and four of the first issue contained an article titled ‘Creeping Out of the Closet: A Coming Out Story’, which shared the experience of Donegal woman Orla and her journey to accepting her sexuality after moving to Galway.
