ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Discovering Our Heritage

The Donegal LGBTQ+ Heritage Project is an initiative designed to unearth and celebrate the rich tapestry of experiences from our LGBTQ+ community and allies. We acknowledge that these stories have been overlooked in our historical records, and we are determined to change that. Our project is building an archive of oral histories, personal narratives, and relevant documents, creating a resource that not only honours our past, but also paves the way for a more inclusive future .
